Read some of the reviews from Sophie's clients:
‘Outstanding therapist. Used her vast knowledge of different therapies to help ease the pain and stiffness in my body.
‘Utterly exquisite - I was blown away. Sophie clearly has several disciplines to draw from. I felt held, safe and able to let go. I have been feeling lighter and taller since; my girlfriend says I have been glowing!! Highly recommended.
‘I've had a lot of regular reflexology treatments with Sophie over the last three years to help deal with hormonal imbalance and reduce my stress levels naturally She is very thorough during her treatments and has always picked up on areas where I have a problem such as digestion and constipation. I would recommend her treatments to anyone who is looking to resolve health issues, pain or simply wanting to relax.’
She participates in regular, continued, professional development to advance her skills and has taken further training in seated/chair massage and spiritual anatomy and healing.
She was a volunteer massage practitioner for 3 years at The Terrence Higgins Trust and has also worked in Mental Health for many years, receiving training in active listening, mindfulness for wellbeing and mental health first aid.
She is fully insured and an accredited member of the Massage Training Institute.
As a women-only massage practitioner, her aim is to work with clients to reach a deeper sense of wellbeing by reducing tension leading to a deeper awareness of what the body/mind is needing and enabling whatever arises, both emotionally and physically, to be acknowledged and worked with.
Chloe has worked with a wide range of women, however her more in depth experience is with those with anxiety and she believes massage is a great starting point for gently understanding, facing and starting to release whatever is triggering these anxieties.
Kristy came to acupuncture through personal experience and, like many others, was amazed by this natural medicine and how it focuses on treating the root of a problem. She studied at Westminster University and went on to work in the busy clinic there for 3 years.
Kristy has worked at Neals Yard Remedies and as an acupuncturist has treated anxiety, depression, headaches, musculoskeletal issues and fertility.
She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Stella is fully registered member of the Bowen Association UK. She completed her training with Bowtech and has a Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology. Stella's background in dance and Yoga has helped her to develop a deep understanding of the body and movement particularly in relation to emotional stress and postural habits.
The Bowen Technique (or Bowen Therapy) is a gentle modality of treatment for the body, working on muscles, tendons and peripheral nerves. A few moves with very little pressure re-balance the body and restore self-healing power. The moves stimulate a response in the brain that normalises patterns in the body.
Treatments may help alleviate the pain and stress associated with:
Bowel and digestive problems
Migraines and sinus problems
Knee & hip misalignment
Pelvic tilt & leg length
Skeletal & Muscular imbalances
Baby and childhood problems
Relief after just the first session and significant resolution or recovery within three sessions are not uncommon. However, chronic or long-standing conditions or repeat injuries may require additional treatments. A treatment can be done on skin or light clothing, you may be asked to remove heavy or thick garments.
Reiki is Japanese for ‘universal life energy’ or a system of natural healing. Reiki works at bringing us into balance and is believed to reinforce the body’s natural ability to heal itself at all levels, whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. I first found reiki back in 2013 when I had been made redundant from a job I had been in for 25 years. I was exhausted and was suffering from anxiety on a daily basis. From the very start of treatment I knew I wanted to know more about it so I trained in reiki 1 and 2 which allowed me to treat friends and family members. I found reiki was really helping me with my anxiety so I wanted to take it further and eventually qualified as a reiki practitioner in 2014. During a reiki treatment, you remain clothed and lay on a couch or sit in a chair. The practitioner gently places their hands on or near the body.
