    BMS collects your personal data from the following sources:

    o participate in a BMS discussion or interact on our social media accounts;

    • images and your likeness (as captured in a photograph for identification purposes or on video that we capture for when filming for BMS's other legitimate purposes);

    • when you visit our website or use our apps we collect details of your Internet Protocol (IP) address, location (including institution), browser type and version, and operating system;

    • information you provide in your communications with us;

    How we use your data, the basis for processing your data and with whom we share it

    How long we retain your information

    Your rights under data protection legislation Prior to 25 May 2018, you have the following rights:

    • To obtain access to, and copies of, the personal data we hold about you;

    • To require that we cease processing your personal data if the processing is causing you damage or distress;

    • To require us not to send you marketing communications;
    Once GDPR comes into force, from 25 May 2018 you will also have the following additional rights:
